Anna Artaker
Anna Artaker is a visual artist and professor at the University of Arts Linz.
In her works, she investigates the role that images play in our perception of reality. To do this, Artaker has worked with historical photographs or imaging processes that have also been used in the sciences.
Her works have been shown in international institutions like the New Museum in New York or the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid.
From 2015 to 2023 Artaker was the first representative of artistic research at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. After studying philosophy and political science in Vienna and Paris and conceptual art at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, she taught at Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen, the Merz Academy in Stuttgart, and the University of Vienna, among others.
